So im making a chocolate coffee cake, and in the icing it asks you to mix 1 tablespoon instant coffee powder in with 2 tablespoons hot tap water to dissolve, and then add into the frosting. I just realized i dont own instant coffee powder, so i was wondering if anyone knew of a way i could do this with regular brew coffee that will taste the same??

how do you make american coffee without a coffee maker? and not instant coffee, either.

I ask this question in the Christmas section because you always see gift packs with coffee beans and it’s not instant coffee. And I am always worried that the gift receipient doesn’t have a coffee maker.

need to get up early and i want coffee as soon as i get up (machine has an auto-brew timer)— but im out of regular coffee. can i use instant coffee instead for one brew?

I participated in the Starbucks VIA instant coffee challenge today and in return received a coupon for a free, tall "brewed coffee". Does this mean I can get a latte, or am I limited to drip coffee?

My dad saw a show on public tv that that showed coffee brewing and he likes strong coffee. Now he uses instant coffee, but would like to get good flavor. He does not like any "trendy" ideas or products like cappucino makers! thanks!
anybody got specifics about what brand of percolator or what they have somewhere like WalMart? he was watching public tv, so there weren’t any popup ads – haha.

Why not just warm up the water in a teakettle, add your coffee and mix it up? Does the coffee machine make a difference in the taste? What’s the big deal about coffee machines?
My parents never owned one and neither have I so I’m just curious.

I love Cafe Du Monde’s french roast with chicory, but I’m at college and usually like instant coffee mixes because they’re easier to prepare.. and I don’t think cafe du monde makes their coffee in an instant form. Would love to hear if there are other brands out there that have chicory in coffee and makes an instant type…! =)

You can pick up any ingredients like coffee beans, coffee powder or dust, any brand or variety or country of origin, instant coffee mix – whatever. Coffee can be made with or without creamer, sugar etc. Any other ideas are welcome too – your choice.
The objective is to come up with a good cup of coffee that is just marvelous and feels almost like heaven for one’s taste buds and sensory perceptions.
The idea is how to make or brew a really good, fantastic and delicious coffee. You can use any instuments or machines that will help achieve this.
