I’m looking to buy an espresso machine for my husband for his b-day. I know nothing about them and the choices are so overwhelming. I’m looking to spend up to 0-400. He mentioned that he wanted just an espresso machine and not one of those machines that makes a lot of different kinds of coffee. I would really appreciate any help on choosing a great machine!

I have a simple Krups pump espresso machine. I know it needs a decalcifier, and I have found a few cleaning solutions on amazon.com, but what do I do once I get it?
I plan to purchase this one: Durgol 0296 Express Multipurpose Decalcifier
Does that one work well? If not, let me know what does. Thanks!

My mom just gave me an old Salton "Three For All" espresso machine, and I don’t know how to use the steamer! I don’t even know how that side of the machine works at all (… and I used to be a barista at Starbucks). Can somebody help?

Can you put hot chocolate powder in an espresso machine and get any good results?

Can I use Starbucks/Kivu/Peet brand finely ground coffee in an Espresso Machine?
I just don’t want to buy a coffee grinder and beans, seems like too much trouble.
Also is there a big taste difference between grinding your own beans and just buying ground coffee?

I want to spend under 100.00 USD for an espresso machine. Are there any good one that last for 2(day) use? Good pressure and quality in general?

Looking for a reasonably functional machine for under 0? We dig the Capresso Cafe’s steaming functionality and the fact that it is convertible between pressurized and non-pressurized. I was think of getting my sister a cappuccino machine, but it’s easier to find an espresso machine.
I found some are just for plain coffee, cappuccino, or espresso. Some you can make all three.
What do you think is my best option? She loves sweet, creamy coffee.
