Is there a way to get mineral deposits out of coffee brewers? My 2 cup electric drip pot brews sooo slow now.?

My mom uses CLR (calcium, lime, rust remover). It’s available at wal-mart in the cleaning aisle…

Run white vinegar thru it. That should help clean up the deposits. Us it full strength and then run 2 or 3 cycles of plain water to rinse. If that doesn’t work, there is a product called Dip It that works well. I prefer the natural cleaner better.

well i used to work in a cinveince store and we cleaned our with a mixture of ice salt and lemon juice with a little water and swished it around in the coffee pot. but if you wanna clean out the inside of your machine heres what we did we used a little vinger and water and ran it through the machine. those techniques seemed to work. hope it helps.

when i was in the country on a well i used regular vinager. it work for the minerals i had there. if there is a big town with a starbucks coffee shop – they also have a tablet to dissolve in water to clean out water ways in the fancier machines. .if it’s a cheapo model – it might be worth it to just get a new one for 15-20 bucks. you might be able to order those water tablets online if your really remote. hope that helps

run vinegar through the coffee maker…turn off half way through the brewing cycle, let rest for 15 min…and then finish cycle. Follow up with plain water through the coffee maker to clean out vinegar.

You’re supposed to run a few cycles with white vinegar through and then a few cycles of plain water to get the vinegar smell and taste out.
