how do I get my espresso machine to not overheat?

I have a commercial espresso machine an Astoria single group or single head. It overheats and the pop-off valve releases. What can I do?

If there is anything on top of the machine? If so, take it off and make sure it is getting propetly ventilated. Try leaving the back panel of the machine off so that air can get through (you can also try to put some dry ice around it so the air it takes in will be cold).
Are you sure it is overheating? If it is the knob I am thinking of, you might also want to make sure the water level isn’t getting too low or out of whack. Check the water intake valves for air bubbles.
What else has been happening? How are your shots turning out? You could also be getting a build-up of pressure from somwhere else in your machine. Is it being cleaned properly? Are the groupheads blocked? Do you have a calcium build-up somewhere? Are any of the gaskets too tight?
Sorry to say that I can’t help much more with such a short description you gave. Good luck all the same!
