This is an unnecessarily complicated way to make cold brew coffee. The cheesecloth bag is unnecessary. Put ground coffee in water. Wait. Then pour the liquid through a strainer.

rhino79, I disagree, and think this is a good idea. In my opinion, I’d rather not wait for the water to drain through a filter or strainer, but instead pull out the cheese cloth, and I’m done.

You realize you just used pre-ground coffee AND put a rubber band in it, right? Yum…… BTW, I agree that using the cheesecloth looks convenient but it also seems like a waste of money when a strainer is free.
